NATIONAL MUSEUM of NAVAL AVIATION
Pensacola Naval Air Station - One of the largest air-and-space museums and clearly one of the best in the nation.The collection consists of more than 100 Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard aircraft. A vietnam prisoner of war exhibit describes the hardships. The cafe in the museum is a great place for a snack or lunch. Some of this exhibits are on loan from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. . VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
Bayfront Parkway, Pensacola near Gulf Power - The Veterans Memorial Park includes "The Wall South" as it's called, Wall South is the only permanent Vietnam Veterans Memorial outside of the nation's capital--to list the names of all 58,217 Americans killed or missing in Southeast Asia. The Wall South is the nation's first complete full-name replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in our national capital.
BIG LAGOON STATE RECREATION AREA
Sandy beaches and salt marshes that are important habitat for birds and animals. An observation tower gives viewers a bird's-eye view of great blue herons, cardinals and brown thrashers alike. Year-round camping is available, along with swimming, fishing, boating and nature study. Series of pops summer concerts scheduled.

CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS MUSEUM
View 4,200 square feet of exhibits , the museum presents Civil War accurate representations of the Civil War soldiers life during our nation's most tumultuous period. The excellent quality and quantity of this diverse collection is depicted by authentic artifacts, uniforms, equipment, weapons,
art, hand-crafted figurines, and life-sized camp scenes, including a Confederate Medical Field Hospital with an amputation in progress, as well as hundreds of personal items used by the common soldier during the war. http://www.cwmuseum.org
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE
Eglin Air Force Base is the largest base in the world. It is also home to the biggest environmental test chamber, which produces extremely hot temperatures and extremely frigid temperatures.
The U.S. Air Force Armament Museum is the only American museum dedicated to Air Force weaponry with interesting displays. The "Blackbird" SR-71 is also on display, this magnificent reconnaissance plane is something you must see to believe.
WILDLIFE SANCTUARY of NORTHWEST FLORIDA Takes in injured or orphaned wildlife from
Panama City to Lillian, Ala., bald eagles, golden eagles, hawks, fox, goats, sheep, otters, beavers, turtles, doves, geese and ducks are among the animals you can see. The sanctuary is free and open to the public from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday.
The sanctuary gives tours by appointment for people of 10 or more.
HISTORIC PENSACOLA VILLAGE

THE MOORS GOLF This 6,900-yard golf course was designed by John B. Lafoy and made to replicate the famous courses found
in Scotland. The Moors provides both the high handicapper and seasoned professional an ideal setting to improve that swing. Host to the 1995 Nike Tour Classic and home of the 1997 Emerald Coast Classic, a Senior PGA Tour event.
OLDE SARGE'S OUTDOOR SOUTH Organized canoe and kayak trips long the Perdido estuary and Tarkiln Bayou near the Alabama state line. A five-hour trip with all equipment provided.
INDIAN TEMPLE MOUND AND MUSEUM
It is the largest and most impressive collection of early culture in the United States. The museum houses interpretive exhibits depicting 10,000 years of four prehistoric Native American
tribes' occupation. Over 6,000 artifacts of stone, bone, clay and shell are here, as well as the largest collection of Fort Walton Period ceramics in the Southeastern United States. Exhibits
also include artifacts from European Explorers, local pirates, Civil War soldiers and early settlers; the largest Indian mound discovered along saltwater (1400 A.D.) stands guard beside the museum.
GULFARIUM Located in Fort Walton Beach, America's second oldest marine park, since 1955 millions of people have visited the park.
